products and support services expected by the market place. fas was initially intended to fill the gap in the market within the repair and servicing of perimeter security and access control equipment, we wanted to provide a reliable service to end users which we did very quickly, and looked at other areas that could be improved, we decided the time was correct to start supplying and installing our equipment as we knew which companies supplied the most reliable products from europe, and "we mean reliable". we eventually moved into medium sized manufacturing and started fabricating our own gates and supplementary equipment, our suppliers were continuously letting us down on delivery dates, which upset our planning and tight schedules on many sites. w e have been extremely lucky over the year and able to source the correct personnel to help the company grow and expand in all departments including the manufacturing facility which has enabled us to double the size of the workshop in 3,years. we respond to many call outs throughout the year and will usually be on site within 24 hrs to carryout necessary repairs to bring equipment back in to service we are normally able to get to breakdowns the same day depending on the call out time and the location of your site, however it is not always possible to keep to promises. we will be honest and keep you the customer informed of any travel delays experienced during transit to site including arrival times if requested throughout the journey. sometimes it is not possible to cover all call outs and breakdowns as one can imagine we have a fixed amount of engineers at anyone time we do not have trained engineers hanging up on coat hooks waiting for breakdown to happen it is unfortunate that sometimes we cannot make it the same day but working from head office whilst other engineers are working from around the country including manchester, lancashire, london and the south west to handle the work-load up and down the country. all engineers have a suitable vehicles complete with tools and equipment to service most products. we only hire in plant when working on high level equipment and when the site dictates the need for access plant and specialist lifting equipment. generally lift tables and cherry pickers are hired in as required. we own a versatile range of machinery and groundwork equipment which provides us with the tools to offer a quality installation package as and when required, we have our own excavators compaction equipment and other small plant enabling us to carryout tarmac repairs and reinstatement to
